When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.
- Sophia Loren
My eldest son, who is working overseas sent me a Mother’s Day message a message I relished. My second boy made me a bracelet, a task that took time and effort as he has hand-eye coordination issues. It was a gift that I would cherish.
Take away all the frills and trimmings that surrounds the Mother’s Day celebration and you find that what a mother wants is to be remembered with love by her children.
For mothers with special needs children, who cannot speak, seemingly in a world of their own; we know he has you in his heart, the way he reacts to your voice and step, when he relaxes in your presence and is comforted knowing you are near.
Happy Mother’s Day
