AmBank Group is organising the AMBANG 2012 KUALA LUMPUR concert which will begin at 8.00 pm on 31 Dec 2011 at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. This concert spectacular has been organised by the Group since 2003, in collaboration with Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, TV2 and the Ministry of Information Communications and Culture.
Tan Sri Azman Hashim, Chairman, AmBank Group said, “The ultimate objective of the AMBANG 2012 KUALA LUMPUR concert is to support the spirit of unity or ‘muhibah’ amongst our citizens irrespective of race and religion particularly in the city of Kuala Lumpur and also throughout the country including visitors and foreign workers. This concert is also AmBank Group’s way of showing appreciation for all the support that we’ve received from all our customers over the years.”
The AMBANG 2012 KUALA LUMPUR concert will feature an exciting and varied lineup of artistes in what promises to be a highly energetic and dynamic evening. The evening’s lineup of star performers will include Dato’ M. Nasir, Mizz Nina, Jamal Abdillah, Awie, Faizal Tahir and Hujan. Also adding to the festive evening will be One Nation Emcees, Razali (Champion of Bakat TV 2011), Hillary Ng, Malique, Najwa Latiff, Desiree Tan and Sabhi Saddi.
AMBANG 2012 KUALA LUMPUR will also be broadcast live on TV2 from 9.15pm to 1.00am. At the stroke of midnight, audiences, and the city of Kuala Lumpur, as well as Malaysians (via TV2) will be treated to a spectacular show of fireworks from Dataran Merdeka.
As in previous years, the concert is expected to draw in excess of 70,000 people from all walks of life at Dataran Merdeka and will be one of the key events to usher in the new year in Kuala Lumpur.
