Hiljmnijeta Apuk , Director of Little People of Kosova said “International Women’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. It is an occasion for looking back on past struggles and accomplishments, and more importantly, for looking ahead to the untapped potential and opportunities that await future generations of women.”

She added that women and girls with disabilities have been and continue to be marginalised in terms of education, employment and health services, among others, and are a greater risk of abuse and poverty than other women.

In response to such need, the Little People of Kosovo’s theme for this International Women Day 2010 is “Non-discrimination” and had made a video clip to commemorate the event.
